Session objectives and student performance indicators:

  1. Practice critical thinking skills through writing an essay regarding the history of how anthropology looks at population growth.
    • Students will demonstrate an understanding of
      1. how anthropology looks at the relationship between the environment and population growth
      2. the relationship between medical advances and population growth (on the webboard)
  2. Begin developing integrated history of issues or problems
    • Students will be able to
      1. Create a bibliography with annotations (Two per session)
  3. Promote life long learning and research skills
    • Students will be able to
      1. create bibliographic references, including citing personal interviews; books; chapters in books; journal articles; online material
      2. use FGCU library resources, assess online resources; check-out books from FGCU library and request materials through Inter library loan.
