 This class will primarily focus upon the history of environmental education in the U.S. and it's future prospects.

Readings		 Text Readings: 

David Orr, Ecological Literacy, Chapter 5 to the completion of the text.

Web Readings:

A Report Environmental Education in the United States

Writing
Assignment		 Writing Assignment Three is Due this Week.  Also Writing Assignment Four is Due Next Class Session, Session 8.

Lesson Board:

 

 Discussion Questions:  Discussion questions due at end of this class session (Saturday at 5 pm.)
  1. What is environmental education and why do we need it?
  2. What is the status of environmental education in the United States?
  3. Briefly describe the National Environmental Education Act of 1990.
  4. Briefly describe recommendation number five.

Post your discussion question responses on Lesson Board for Session 7.

Field Trip		 Field trip # 4 on Sustainable Development must be posted on the Lesson Board by the end of session 9. Field Trip #3 is due by the end of this session.

Journal Writing		 Journal due this week.  Remember that the journal must be in Word Format, must be attached to the Lesson board and in the interest of being opened and read, must not include pictures.

 Please review the Final Project link (to the left) one more time to be sure you understand what you are to turn in.
