IHS 4938 Senior Seminar
Capstone course synthesizing experiences across disciplines via exploration of interdisciplinary issues; and design, development, implementation and evaluation of a senior project incorporating change agentry. 

Seminar is by definition a meeting of prepared minds.  As an enrolled seminar student, the learner is expected to define learning needs and develop a plan for meeting those needs with faculty guidance. Each class session/module focuses on one or more topics. Learners are expected to prepare in advance for sessions/modules and contribute in meaningful, scholarly ways. Active learning is a requirement for success in this course.  Keep in mind, the course activities related to your Senior Project may meet portions of your service learning requirement.

WebCT, Chat-rooms, Web Board, Face-to-Face Discussions, Web Links, Case Studies, Readings, Contemporary and Traditional Literature, Discussions, Power Point Presentations, Course Reserves, Audio-visuals, Annotated Bibliographies – Peer Reviewed Journal Articles, Guest Participants, Facilitation Inquiry, Proactive Critical Reading & Writing
