Assignment		 Your instructor will be sending you comments on your writing assignment # 3 within the next two weeks.

Writing Assignment # 4 due next week (Session 10).

 Discussion Questions
  1. Describe 3 types of environments to be found within urban environmental settings.
  2. Briefly describe the three basic components of environmental planning.
  3. What types of demands have cities historically placed upon the hinterlands?
  4. What air and land sinks? What is an ultimate sink?
  5. Over the years, what has been happening to the cores of cities?  How about the areas surrounding cities, what's been happening there?
Field Trip
Field Trip		  Field trip #4  is due to be completed this week. Be prepared to post your report to the web board.

Journal Writing		 You can add some items to your journal by driving by a new or recent housing development and making note of what you observe.  Similarly, with all the furor over more golf courses in the community you could drive around your area and see how many golf courses you can identify.   Make note of what you find in your journal.
