  1. At the Northwest Regional Conference on the Emerging International Economic Order, held March 29 - 91, 1979 in Seattle, Washington, a set of alternative to the world's current approach to economic development was presented.  Briefly outline these alternatives.
  2. In the article Amazonia and Siberia: Legal Aspects of the Preservation of the Environment and Development in the Last Open Spaces ten claims are forwarded on behalf of indigenous peoples.  What are these ten claims and how do they relate to environmental protection?
  3. Regarding the Mahaka Whale Hunt, briefly outline the background for this whale hunt, identify it's significance to the Mhaka people, describe what actually happened in the hunt, and outline the positions of those in favor of and opposed to the hunt.
