The journal is not a mere scrapbook,
nor a simple diary, but a place for observation and reflection.
The scoring rubric for journal
provides a general framework for instructors to evaluate students journals.
Each instructor will consider a students personal learning styles while grading
his/her journals. Each instructor will discuss with students his/her
variability in grading students journals. Students may schedule a journal
scoring session at any time to receive input or their final journal grade.
