Course Description

MAT 1033
This course will cover Intermediate Algebra which is the first step to succeed in any course requiring knowledge of Algebra 
                       -- Set of Numbers and operations with them
                       -- Order of Operations
                       -- Algebraic Expressions
                       -- Polynomials / Factoring
                       -- Powers (Exponents)
                       -- Linear Equations and graphs
                       -- Radicals
                       --Quadratic Equations
                       --System of Linear Equations
 
MAC 1147:
This course will cover a brief review in Algebra and important topics as Functions, Exponential / Trigonometry functions, matrices, polar coordinates, conic sections. Assignments may include online homework and quizzes using CourseCompass companion website for your textbook and projects.
The use of computers is recommended. Math software and the Internet are two of the new emerging electronic technologies to be used as tools to supplement the teaching/learning process.  Graphic calculators as TI-83 Plus is also recommended.
