Cooperative Learning:
Each student is to choose one of the Eight
Critical Areas of School Change to research and
report on. Presentation will be enhanced through
reflection, dialogue, and collaboration; therefore,
3-5 people may want to choose the same Critical
Area. Collaboration should occur through e-mail,
chat rooms, and WebBoard postings. After
posting questions or informations about the chosen
area, the group (or student) should schedule a time
for web interaction with their peers. Before a
group report, a leader will emerge or the
professors will appoint one. (NOTE: Internet
research is encouraged; graduate students,
on the other hand, are to turn in a formal research
paper on one of the Eight Critical Areas and
libraryresearch should augment the Internet
research.)

In Service Teachers' School
Interviews: Teachers already
in classrooms, will not do the Practicum. These
students are to refer to the Eight
Critical Areas of School Change in the
Course
Objectives and use this material to generate
10 questions for school people who are in the
position to bring about school change. Interview 6
school people using your questions. Organize
the information, write a report, and post a short
summary of your findings on the WebBoard.
(Do not use actual interviewee's names.) Send
professors questions and report via attached
document or e-mail.
