    8. List and discuss the events that occur during labor and delivery.
     


 
    Activity 1: In your group of two students, develop 1 question pertaining to each human developmental stage listed below.
     
      1. Fertilization and Conception

      2. Embryo development/1st trimester

      3. 2nd and 3rd trimester

      4. Labor and Delivery

      5. Neonatal Development
       



 
    Activity 2: Answer the following questions regarding Prenatal Development.

      1. The heart and blood vessels are formed by what day in embryonic development?

      2. Which maternal organs systems change in response to pregnancy?

      3. Explain why the normal heart and respiratory rates of neonates are so much higher than those of adults even though adults are much larger.

      4.  Women who are pregnant are advised against taking aspirin during their last trimester.  Why?
