The scoring rubric for class participation suggests a general framework for measuring each student’s participation. An individual student’s styles of learning, expressing one’s ideas, and participating in the discussion will be considered when the instructor grades the individual’s class participation. Each instructor will discuss with students his/her variability in measuring student’s class participation. Five percent of the total course grade will be for effective participation in the collaborative group presentation.
