I met my guidance counselor and she asked me what I wanted to do with my life.  I responded, “I’m not sure.  College is…”  “But you’re LD,“ she interrupted.  “I…know…college is something…”  “But you’re LD,” she interrupted again.  “You need to learn a vocation so you can work.  College is not a good idea for someone with Limited Direction.”  I was stunned.  But, here I was in the tenth grade reading a few years behind and just going along passing as best I could.  Maybe she was right.
