The "For Kids Only" Learning Disabilities Website
WELCOME!

Since most fights or arguments happen to kids that don't really know each other, here are some steps to follow when getting to know other kids in order to keep fights from happening.

Step 1:  Look around and find someone who you would want to talk to or play with.
Step 2:  Walk up to the person with a friendly face.
Step 3:  Say hello and your name, then ask the other person what their name is.
Step 4:  Ask open-ended questions to get and give information. (an open-ended question has answers that have more than two or three words)  Some examples of open-ended questions can be: *What are you playing with? or *What games do you like to play?
Step 5:  Find an activity or game to play on the playground, during free time, or some other time.
