Welcome to IDS 3303, a required course in the Collegium of Integrated Learning (CoIL).
During the first day of class we'll start by getting you to fill out a few things so I can get a head start on knowing you. Then we'll go over the syllabus, find out if you have any questions, and talk about your assignments for the next class meeting.
The first thing I'd like you to do is fill out this voluntary questionnaire, and this library training survey.
You will also find a worksheet to get your mind thinking about issues in Science and Technology that I'd like you to fill out and return before you leave today. That way, I'll be able to collate your responses to help start our conversation at our next class meeting.
When you turn in these items, I'd like you to can fill in your responses to a resource utilization survey that ask you how often you used library and search engines during the last semester that you'll find at the front of the room (where you'll drop off the questionnaire and survey).
While everyone finishes these worksheets I'd like to to pick up a copy of the syllabus (unless you've already printed it) and read it over while we all get caught up.
