The scoring rubric for portfolio provides the instructor with a general framework to evaluate students' portfolios. The demonstration of a student's academic and professional growth is very important in a portfolio. However, the growth and changes are measured according to each individual student's starting level, but not to general standards. The growth and changes in any individual student are not measured comparatively against those of any other students in the class. The  professor will communicate with students his/her variability in measuring students' portfolios.
