Course Description.
The primary objective of this course is to give students the experience of creating a prototype system that satisfies the function design requirements of a "real" organization. Teams will create a project that includes all phases of software development, analysis, design, implementation, and testing. In addtion to the semester projeect, Software Engineering concepts such as Project Management, Testing, Quality Assurance, Cost-effectiveness, Software reuse, Configuration Management, and Human Factors will be discussed. Student groups will post their system-development efforts on the World Wide Web and make an oral/graphical presentation to the College at-large.
Prerequisites: ISM 3113, ISM 3212, ISM 3232 with a minimum grade of C, or permission of instructor: cbeise@fgcu.edu. Pre-requisite (preferred) or Co-requisite: ISM 4331.

Semester Project Work
As soon as possible starting Monday Jan. 14, send an e-mail to the class at crn10144@eagle.fgcu.edu introducing yourself. The e-mail should include at least the following information:
- Your full name & your preferred name
- Phone number(s) and e-mail address
- Your Spring semester schedule, i.e., what times you would have free to be able to meet on campus or on-line with your team.
- Years and type of work experience, if any
- What skills you have accumulated that you could contribute to a Project Team, and what skills you would like an opportunity to further develop as part of your Project Team.

0-59% F+ and - grades maybe given to borderline students at the discretion of the instructor
Makeup Exams:
Makeup exams may be given in the case of student's illness or family
emergency only. The student must make every effort to contact the professor
prior to the exam if they cannot take the exam at its scheduled
time. Quizzes cannot be made up once the deadline has passed,
so KEEP UP with them.
