I have never been a patient and treated unprofessionally, however I have
had physicians be very condesending and unprofessional in their behavior
because they felt I was questioning their abilities
when they were asked questions about their orders or
we gave their patients other options than the physician had.
My worst patient to deal with was the patients wife. The patient
was a middle aged man who had open heart surgery and
had multiple complications after surgery. She had some
knowledge and that made her an expert. She also felt that
her husband was the only patient we had to care for and wanted us
to jump when she said jump. She was psycho. She video taped the staff.
It was the most stressful case I have had to deal with.
