I felt great about what I had accomplished.  I went back to see my guidance counselor and she asked me again what I wanted to do with my life.  I responded, “I want to go to college…”  “But you’re LD,“ she interrupted.  “I know.  I want to go to college any…”  “But you’re LD,” she interrupted again.  “You need to learn a vocation so you can work.  College is not a good idea for someone with Limited Direction.”  I did not let her get me down this time though.  I was still reading at the college level and she could not take that away from me.
