Here are some steps to think about before making a bad decision to get into trouble. The FAST strategy involves four steps that are used to help students control impulsive behaviors.
In the first step students are prompted to think about the options that are available to them before reacting to a situation. In the second step students are to be thinking of alternatives to use in solving the problem. Next, the students are expected to decide on the best of the possible solutions. Finally, the students are able to try out their chosen solution.
