Naegleria fowleri

Naegleria fowleri. Trophozoites in human brain tissue (hematoxylin and eosin stain, oil immersion). The characteristic nucleus containing a large, red-staining karyosome is clearly visible in the organisms in the center of the field. Naegleria does not form cysts in human tissues.
