Iodamoeba buetschlii

Iodamoeba beutschlii. Trophozoite and cyst in fecal smear (trichrome stain, oil immersion). The larger trophozoite contains a nucleus with a large, red-staining karyosome. The cyst is typical for the species, with a single nucleus containing a large karyosome and the characteristic nonstaining glycogen vacuole.
