Iodamoeba buetschlii

Iodamoeba buetschlii. Trophozoite in fecal smear (trichrome stain, oil immersion). This elongated trophozoite has vacuolated cytoplasm and a nucleus containing a large, red-staining karyosome. The nuclear membrane lacks peripheral chromatin.
