Entamoeba histolytica

Entamoeba histolytica. Trophozoite in fecal smear (iron hematoxylin stain, oil immersion). This trophozoite contains many erythrocytes. The nucleus has uneven peripheral chromatin, and a punctate karyosome is only faintly visible.
