Participation
|
Your participation provides you with the best opportunity to learn. For your own records you should prepare an organized portfolio of materials. It is my desire that by critically evaluating yourself, the class, and me as an instructor, you can gain a better understanding of the educational process and how your actions relate to what you get out of your classes. As mentioned in my statement of teaching philosophy, I am attempting to help you learn. It is an active process requiring two willing participants. Demonstrate how much information you have acquired and understand by participating in class and lab activities and in your portfolio. Your portfolio will be a unique history of your experiences in General Biology. |
Self-evaluation |
Evaluations are most useful with the addition of constructive criticism. If you have a problem, or issue with a particular method of teaching style, then offer a suggestion on how to improve it as opposed to just saying you don't like something. By the same token, your self evaluation will be most beneficial if it is considered at various times through the semester. DURING your education instead of at the end when there is no time to improve or adjust. |
