Newsletter Information School wide newsletters will be sent home with your child's weekly folder. Included in these newsletters will be important dates, PTA information and any important information about our school. Classroom newsletters are the responsibility of your child's specific teacher. They will be sent home on Friday in their weekly take-home folder as well. Included in your child's teacher's newsletter will be homework for the weekend, upcoming units, reminders, and volunteer information. As a parent feel free to communicate with your child's teacher by email, phone, or letters. For the month of December: PTA meeting, first Thursday of every month. Family Fun Night: Friday December 8, 2000 Kindergarten Winter Celebration Pageant, Wednesday December 13, 2000 Monthly Fun-Stuff! Fun with learning at HOME! Comic Strip Writing: use comic strips to help with writing. Cut apart the segment of a comic strip and ask your child to arrange them in order. Then ask your child to fill in the words of the characters (orally or written). Sorting and Stacking: Teach your child to match and stack dishes of similar sizes and shapes. Also have your child sort flatware, forks-with-forks, spoons-with-spoons. This is similar to recognizing the shapes of letters and numbers. GIVE YOURSELF A HAND!
