School Handbook and Activities Calendar At Sawgrass Elementary we believe in sharing all of the information concerning our students with their parents. At the beginning of each school year, we send a school handbook and an activities calendar home with each student. We ask all of our parents to read the information carefully and contact the school with any questions or comments. The school handbook covers all of the rules and regulations required by the county school board. Each student in the county receives this book. We ask that all parents take time to go through the handbook with their children and sign the letter at the back of the book. Your returned letter ensures our faculty that our students are aware of the school policies and consequences. This also gives our school a good opportunity to open up a communication passage about our policies. The activities calendar is a schedule of events that have been arranged through the school. These activities are listed on the scheduled date along with any information about how parents can become involved in the event. The calendar also lists holidays, teacher planning days, and all other days in which school will not be held. Included on the calendar are the scheduled PTA meetings and contact names and numbers for more information about these meetings. |
