Foster Grandparents This is a program that allows Seniors 55 and over to volunteer in the school system. The foster grandparent will be assigned no more than four children, where they will serve as their mentor and their friend. The Volunteer Staff at Sawgrass Elementary feel that this will benefit both the adult and the child. The Foster Grandparent must spend 20hours per week in our school This will allow them to spend time with their assigned children. Foster Grandparents will be assigned according to their skills.
