TOPICS FOR MODULE 13

The module this week focuses on design, evaluation and selection of IS in a health service organization. Please discuss among your classmates the following questions.

• How do user characteristics lead to success or failure of an IS implementation?
• List specific characteristics not mentioned in your notes that may also be CSFs. They may be associated with the user, the organization, or the system design.
• What would you identify as CSFs in your workplace (or a place that you previously worked) that should be addressed when developing and implementing IT.

Once you have gathered your thoughts, please post your response on the bulletin board prior to 5pm on Friday, April 11th. Also, you are responsible for responding to the postings of other students. All students must participate in the student web board discussion for the week before the deadline to receive credit for participation. This will make it necessary for you to visit the bulletin board several times during the course of the week. Your participation grade will depend on the quality of your initial responses as well as your interaction and responses to the postings made by other students.
