Zoonoses

Toxocara canis. Egg in fecal smear (unstained, high power). By focusing on the surface of the shell, the characteristic pitting is seen. The pitting on T. canis eggs is quite different from the surface pitting seen on the egg of the cat ascarid, Toxocara cati.
