Wuchereria bancrofti. Microfilaria in thick blood film (Giemsa's stain, high power). In microfilariae with this stain, the sheath typically does not stain and may appear only as a "halo" or clear space along the margins of the microfilaria. The Innenkörper (innerbody), located in the posterior half of the body, stains reddish-pink.
