Giardia lamblia

Giardia lamblia. Cyst in fecal smear (iron hematoxylin stain, oil immersion). The nuclei, axonemes, and median bodies are readily visible in this organism. This cyst does not show the retraction of cytoplasm that is often seen in stained specimens.
