Microsporidians

Enterocytozoon bieneusi or Encephalitozoon intestinalis. Spores in methanol-fixed fecal smear (calcofluor white and ultraviolet illumination, oil immersion). In this fecal smear from a patient with AIDS, the blue-staining microsporidian spores were not specifically identified but are either E. bieneusi or E. intestinalis.
