Microsporidians
Enterocytozoon bieneusi. Spores
in duodenal aspirate material (modified trichrome stain, high power). Large
numbers of pink-staining spores of the human microsporidian parasite, E.
bieneusi, are seen in this stained smear prepared from a concentration of
duodenal aspirate material. Their small size under light microscopy makes their
detection difficult, especially when they are present in small numbers amidst
fecal debris.
