Brugia malayi. Microfilaria in thick blood film (hematoxylin stain, high power). Like Wuchereria bancrofti, this microfilaria is sheathed. It has a long cephalic space, a compact column of nuclei, and a tail with a subterminal and terminal nucleus separated by a short constriction.
