Babesia sp.

Bacteria. Cluster of bacteria in thin blood smear (Giemsa stain, oil immersion). In the center of this field, a cluster of bacteria is superimposed on an erythrocyte in this blood smear. These should not be confused with either malaria or babesial parasites.
