Types of Knowledge
They believe knowledge may be general or it may be domain specific.
1) General knowledge: information that
is useful in many tasks and applies to many
situations
2) Domain specific knowledge: information
that is useful in a particualr situation or applies to a
specific topic
In addition, knowledge may be:
Declarative- verbal information and
facts. "Knowing that" something is a particular way is an
example of
declarative knwoledge.
Procedural- knowing how something is; knowledge demonstrated when we perform a task.
Conditional- knowing when and why to use declarative and procedural knowledge
