: : : : : What process and tools would we use?

: : : : An inservice by the cath lab to the floor nurses regarding
: : : : the different procedures and approximate time it takes to perform
: : : : it might decrease miscommunication to patients and families. Also,
: : : : sending out an updated schedule in the am if cases have been added on or
: : : : moved around because of emergencies. Forming a team of floor nurses and
: : : : cath lab staff to problem solve would be a good start

: : : Yes, this a good idea. An update at least once a month or more often would be needed for awhile I think to get the idea across especially with staff turn around. We used to have a task force comittee that has gradually gone by the wayside. We keep asking to implement it again, but.....
: : I would be more than happy to help put them team together

: Thanks, maybe we could put together an insert for the existing booklet that would help the patients and their families be able to cope a little better, and take the stress off of us in having to come up with explanations when we receive these disgruntled patients. P.S. I'm not a happy camper without food and coffee either!

I can relate to that. I definitely need my morning coffee
