You are starting you final project which applies what we learn in class and examines another culture. You will write a total of 10 essays about the other person's life.
First, find a person from a different culture who is willing to talk to you about their culture throughout the semester. Take a copy of the Letter of Introduction signed by your instructor and you. You will be the interviewer, asking them questions about their culture that relate to the material you will be reading in your text. Tell them you will be sharing your interpretation with them to elicit their response. Assure them that you will not use their name. Ask them to sign the Permission Form to interview them. Give them a copy of the permission form.
Photographs: Ask the interviewee if you may take photographs to accompany the descriptions of their culture. Assure the person that they may view the photographs before they are used. At the end of the course all student analysis and photographs will be displayed on the Internet. . If you take any personal photographs of the interviewee will have to ask them to sign a Photo Release before we can use their photograph.
