Trypanosoma brucei rhodesiense. Trypomastigote in blood, Giemsa stained. Undulating membrane with free flagellum situated anterior. A special organelle, "kinetoplast", situated anterior to the nucleus. Difficult to differentiate from T. brucei gambiense.
