Paragonimus westermani

Paragonimus westermani egg, iodine wet preparation. One can see the similarity between this egg and D. latum eggs; however, there are two “bumps or shoulders” where the operculum fits onto the shell. This bump in the shell outline is unlike that found in D. latum where the shell is smooth and uniform.
