Mansonella ozzardi. Microfilaria in thick blood film (hematoxylin stain, high power). This microfilaria may be identified by its small size, absent sheath, and slender, attenuated tail. The column of nuclei does not extend to the end of the tail. However, that portion of the tail devoid of nuclei usually is difficult to see in most preparations.
