Attendance (Written concepts on chapters):
Attendance will be kept by collecting your list of four salient features (full sentences) you learned from your chapter assignment for the week. Regular attendance will be taken for the first class and the last two classes. You are allowed to miss one class without penalty. Your grade will depend upon the total number of days you attend out of 14 weeks (There are 15 possible weeks to attend). If you are absent for any reason, do not hand in your list of four.

Participation:
This grade will be totally at the professor's discretion based upon classroom observation. You may enhance your grade by your attitude, promptness, speaking in class, initiative, and bringing in articles to share with the class on the subject.

Academic Dishonesty/Cheating Policy:
"All students are expected to demonstrate honesty in their academic pursuits. The university policies regarding issues of honesty can be found under the "Student Code of Conduct" on page 11, and under "Policies and Procedures" on pages 18 - 24. of the Student Guidebook . All students are expected to study this document that outlines their responsibilities and consequences for violations of the policy. "

This professor considers copying three or more words in succession from other student's work or reference book to be plagiarism if no quotation marks, citation with page number, or bibliography is provided.
