Portfolio or your University Website

Your course portfolio will be entered electronically so that all members may share their research with each other for the final analysis.

Your portfolio will consist of the following items:

You may use photos, drawings, etc. to amplify some of your assignments

You will be expected to create your assignments using the class template and numbering system on the floppy disk given you in class.

You will post the assignments within the week they are due. Points will be deducted for late assignments and NO assignments will be accepted after three weeks--no matter what the excuse.

Instructions for posting session files to your webpages:

Talk to the person you will be interviewing and tell them about you time expectations, confidentiality, and posting their information on the web. Assure them that you will use a pseudonym and have them sign a release form [link to release form].

Prepare for your interview by creating some questions about [language, etc.] after reading the text. They may not be familiar with anthropological terminology, so ask them other questions, which might be better understood.

After you have asked the questions, write the essay. You may use tools from the webpage, but good spelling and grammar are critical. If you use a Word document then the program will help you. Make sure it makes sense. Read it aloud if necessary. SAVE, SAVE, SAVE.

When you are sure you have the essay in good form, save it as an html document. Go to the file menu and click on save as html. It is imperative that you save the document using the same file name as is on your disk, so the links will work on your index page.

After you have saved your document as html, open the ftp program that you have downloaded.
