Self and Peer Assessment of Group Behavior Skills

Your task is to assess yourself and each individual on your team. The purpose of the assignment is to "take stock of yourself" in relation to your group work so far this semester. By looking at your group work critically and comparing it with teammates' assessments of your work in the group, you can then compare your own perceptions with those of your teammates. This gives both you and your teammates more complete, reliable information. There will be an expectation of "peer review" in all health disciplines. Assess yourself and team members using the following criteria, determining how often the behaviors are exhibited:

Input: provides input to the group by offering knowledge, experience, and opinions relative to the group's discussions:
Never/Rarely Occasionally Usually Almost Always Always
1 2 3 4 5

Support: is a collegial team member who contributes to and supports the group's work by active listening with consideration and acceptance of others' ideas:
Never/Rarely Occasionally Usually Almost Always Always
1 2 3 4 5

Attendance: attends all meetings or arranges in advance with team members how work will be distributed during absence:
Never/Rarely Occasionally Usually Almost Always Always
1 2 3 4 5

Take this assignment seriously. Critical, thoughtful self and group assessment is required. You will be graded on the average number of points you receive from your own assessment and from your teammates' assessment. Therefore, no one member's assessment will count more than 1/5 of the average.

The on-campus students will complete this activity in class.
