- What do you think the main idea or thesis of the paper is?
- What evidence is used to develop or support the thesis? Is the evidence
appropriate? Is there sufficient evidence? If not, what sort of evidence
should the writer consider?
- Does the author take into account different points of view about the
thesis of the paper and consider counterarguments?
- Are there any counterarguments the author does not consider but should?
- Summarize the paper, devoting one sentence to each topic addressed.
- Provide editorial comments and questions, requests for clarification
on the copy you edit. Provide CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM that you think
will assist the author in improving their final paper.
