Of the five counties that primarily make up Southwest Florida, the three main counties I chose to look at were Lee, Collier and Charlotte. Now as you can see since Lee county has the highest jobs available it makes sense that Lee county would have the highest population, which it does. Collier comes in second but that is only because Collier county is one of the wealthiest counties, and not everyone is wealthy, only an elite few. Charlotte comes in last only because it still has not hit it's "growth spurt" in other words, urban sprawl hasn't affected it yet.
