Homework - The Goal of this assignment is to learn how you can use the Internet to explore an educational topic and to familiarize yourself with WebQuests

If you have not already done so, please read the following: Using Technology to Promote Engaged Learning. You do not need to follow the links off this page, unless you choose to explore the subject further.

This week, use an Internet Search engine like Yahoo or Google to find pages that will explain and give example of WebQuests. Hint- you may get better results by using the Advanced link of the search engine you choose.

After reading several pages you should know:

  • What a WebQuest is.
  • How to find a WebQuest.
  • Where you can find WebQuests.
  • You should have a few new ideas about how you could create a WebQuest.

After finding a few WebQuests, choose 1 WebQuest (note the URL) and apply the Technology integration assessment questionnaire listed above to that specific WebQuest.

Come to class prepared to discuss WebQuests. Incorporate significant information you found into your journal entry this week.
