Final Project

The goal of the Final Project is to demonstrate your ability to incorporate technology into a lesson.

  1. Sign the Final Project Agreement
  2. Create a 10 minute lesson on a topic of your choosing.
  3. Use either MS Power Point or create a Web Site to enhance your lesson.
  4. Incorporate text, graphics, and links.
  5. Use at least 4 different software applications from the list below to create your lesson presentation.
  6. Create a one page description of your lesson including a Lesson Plan. Identify where and howyou incorporated technology, and why you chose the specific technology you chose, cite references. (Use the current APA style for your reference list)
  7. Print and fill out the Technology Integration Assessment Questionnaire justifying your use of technology with this lesson.
  8. Your work must be free from spelling and grammatical errors!

On the day of the final you must hand in the following:

  • Signed Final Project Agreement
  • Power Point File or Web Site URL
  • One Page description
  • Completed Technology Integration Assessment Questionnaire

And you must present your lesson to the class.

E-Portfolio

The goal of the E-Portfolio is to demonstrate your ability to use technology in education for productivity and professional development.

Create a web page that links to samples of your homework and use excerpts from your journal entries to describe your links.

You web page should be clear, well-organized, and comprehensive. It must include, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, used as tools for productivity. Follow the homework assignment titles to ensure you cover all the topics from class. i.e. Templates for Communicating with Parents, Templates for Permission Forms, Gradebook Template, Seating Chart Template, Mail Merge Sample, WebQuest Links, Rubric Links, Learning Object Links, Concept Mapping, Professional Development Links, etc. Your work must be free from spelling and grammatical errors! It must contain links to the research you found on Learning Objects, WebQuests, and Rubrics. It must contain links to websites for professional development.

You must turn in your URL by email due no later than the day of your Final Presentation.

E-Journal

The goal of the e-journal is to demonstrate your progress through the course as well as your ability to generalize what you learned to accomplish with your computer.

Submit your journal entries as one MS Word document. Make sure the entries have dates. This document must contain your original journal entries. You may add "thinking back" comments. You may add missing journal entries as a "thinking back" comments. Each entry should be clearly labeled with original date and journal entry #.

Your work must be free from spelling and grammatical errors!

You will be graded using the rubric linked here.


You may pick up your graded rubrics after final grades have been posted on December 15th.
