GROUND RULES FOR BULLETIN BOARD SESSIONS

  1. All students are expected to participate in the bulletin board discussions. This will count as part of your final grade.  The bulletin board for this class will use a web based application called "WebBoard".  WebBoard is the collaboration software you will use to interact with your instructor and classmates.  Additional information on WebBoard is available from the technology module linked to the syllabus, and on the WebBoard for this class (click on "Help" after accessing the WebBoard).
  2. The WebBoard is linked to each week of the syllabus.  If you are unable to access the course web site, contact the instructor through e-mail. The instructor will serve as your liaison to the bulletin board. My e-mail address if jbedell@pathosnet.com
  3. If you are unable to log-on and access the Internet and are unable to e-mail, telephone the instructor about your problem.
  4. When you submit a message to the bulletin board, only click once. If you double-click, your message gets sent twice.
  5. Remember - you must click "refresh" to view new postings. Unread messages will be in blue print, while messages you have read will be in purple print.
  6. The instructor will post questions for each module. Please respond to the questions and by clicking the "reply" button and typing your response. Do not click on "Post New Topic."
  7. Read messages posted by other students. Ask questions if you are unclear about someone's response. This is your opportunity to discuss topics and issues with other classmates. Keep in mind this is an interdisciplinary group and you are here to learn about how others practice their profession as well as your own.
  8. The instructor will be monitor the discussions frequently.
  9. If you post your responses early in the week, you will have to return to the bulletin board at a later date to respond to other students' postings. Respond as often as you want.  This replaces classroom discussions.
