Special Diploma Opportunities 

 If you have a special diploma you may choose to pass a GED or high school equivalency diploma.

    ü     You  must be 18 in order to take the test.

ü   You may consider attending an adult education class prior 

ü     High school drop-outs may work towards a GED

ü    You may attend 12 hours at most community colleges with the stipulation that you can pass the GED

   Important facts about the GED test

         v    The GED is written at a ninth grade      reading level   

   v  The subject areas tested include:  English, science, social studies, literature, and mathematics

  v  The English portion includes: content errors in the written text and a 200 word essay

  v  The Mathematics portion includes: problem solving skills in arithmetic, algebra, and Geometry

 Alternative tests include:

English and Spanish versions

Large print

Braille

Audiocassette
