Testing within the school district of Lee County vary from one school to another.  The Brigance Employability Skills test is available at all high schools.  Another performance test that can be used is the Rating Scale of Functional Independence for High Schools (grades 9-12) which includes the following 10 performance expectations.

1.  Child expresses effectively in print

2.  Completes tasks relying on the interpretation and use of oral, print, or numeric information.

3.  Interact appropriately within the course of daily social, vocational, and community living.

4.   Manage personal, career, and other life decisions.

5. Respond effectively to potentially harmful situations involving themselves and others.

6.  Access and use community resources and services as needed to meet daily needs.

7. Travel safely beyond community.

8. Complete routine personal care and health           activities.

9.  Manage immediate and long-term responsibilities associated with task completion.

10.  Manage unstructured time.

In addition, to the assessments  mentioned, much of the testing that takes place is curriculum based and through teacher observation of skills demonstrated. Procedures are continually upgraded to provide the best methods of assessing your child's school to work experience.
